Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group
The CCLG do a range of extremely useful information resources and leaflets that provide information for parents and General Practitioners on the diagnosis and treatment of a child with cancer.
These include:
- My child has a brain or spinal spinal tumour
- A range of materials to help members of the family including : Helping brothers and sisters,
Provide financial, emotional and practical support. Speak to staff on your child's ward and they will refer you to your local Clic team.
For teenagers and their families, providing emotional and practical support.
Concentrates on childhood cancer awareness and also the excellent Beads of Courage scheme that provides a great deal of pleasure and pride to children and young people going through treatment
Supporting life limited or life threatened children and their families - this included children undergoing treatment for cancer.
Online Support Groups
Rhabdoid families support group with the Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust
Online support group for parents and carers of children diagnosed with a rhabdoid tumour of any location. This group also welcomes parents of children with very rare or undiagnosed solid tissue tumours for whom alternative support groups do not exist.
Facebook support group, providing easily accessible online friendship and support to parents of children with cancer. Please note this group is a closed group and only parents or primary carers of a child with cancer are able to join.

My kid has cancer - bereaved parents
A closed Facebook support group for parents following the death of their child from cancer. Only parents or primary carers of the deceased child or young person are able to join.
There are also many excellent smaller childhood cancer charities also operate in local areas that provide a lot of emotional and practical support to the families of children undergoing treatment.
