About us
The Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust was set up in memory of Grace who passed away in 2014. We work to raise awareness of childhood cancer, fund research, provide education and support families.

Our work represents the wishes of Grace. At the age of 4, her wish was simply, " To help other children." This is what we are determined to do.
Grace's story
Grace was born on 9th July 2010. A petite but healthy little girl who loved to run, climb and be active.
In September 2014, at the age of 4, Grace started school. So small but proud in her new uniform. A few weeks into term however, Grace was taken suddenly unwell and was admitted to hospital. A week of investigations revealed that Grace devastatingly had a renal tumour.
The tumour was biopsied, and after this Grace rapidly deteriorated. Our perfect girl passed away on 8th November 2014 surrounded by her family. She was just 4 1/4 years of age and left behind a little sister. Grace will be forever missed.
The day before Grace passed away, the histology from her tumour came back. Grace had a highly aggressive rhabdoid tumour and was deemed palliative as the tumour had already metastasised.

Out of this devastation, Grace's wish to help others is being continued. The Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust initially started as a fundraising appeal, and later became a registered charity in June 2016.
